Pool Anchor with Wedge, Brass 4"
4" brass deck anchor with wedge.
Steps to Replace an Anchor
- You can rent a concrete core drill at many rental shops.
- Core drill a hole about 1" larger than the anchor.
- Once the old anchor is removed, install the rail or ladder before you cement in the new anchor. This will keep the anchor properly positioned.
- Thoroughly clean the hole.
- You can use epoxy, or better yet, use hydraulic cement. Hydraulic cement is good in that it cures quickly, but more importantly it expands, locking the anchor in place.
