There are many different types of swimming pool chlorinators and chemical pumps. The pool chlorinators can either be installed inline or there are chlorinators that sit on the floor. Trichlor chlorinators are installed on the pressure side of the pump. Calcium hypochlorite feeders are installed on the suction side of the pump. Most commercial pool or public pool facilities should stock extra parts such as: tubes for peristaltic pumps, control valves for tablet feeders. Some of the chemical pump manufacturers such as Blue-White or Stenner have different tubes for different feed rates. It is important to pump in the right amount of pool chemicals. If you pump too fast you will over feed. If you pump too slow you will under feed and your pool will likely become cloudy. Not sure what tubes to order? Call our office for advice. Not sure how to change a tube on a peristaltic pump? Call our office.
