However, in most cases, our office can walk you through the troubleshooting techniques to determine which of your pool heater parts need to be replaced.
Another consideration is when to fix your pool heater or replace the pool heater. In general, our opinion is:
- If the pool heater shows many signs of aging and has had a hard life you may want to replace the pool heater.
- If the repair parts are more than half the price of a new heater you may want to replace the unit.
- How old is your pool heater? Most pool heaters last about 10 years on average. Call our office if you are only getting a few years out of your pool heater. We may be able to offer some advice on how to increase the life of your heater.
